In the course of compiling and maintaining the Best Value Guide our editors review thousands of web sites from a consumer point of view. From our own web business experience, there are lots of places to go for help or advice with web site search engine optimization, but a lack of consumer-oriented feedback. In response to requests we've been receiving, we have decided to make a rather simple site review available as a report which highlights both the good and poor features of your commercial web site, and includes some suggestions for improvement.

We recognize that many web-based businesses are being run on a shoe-string budget. These site reviews are not a major part of our business, so we have decided to make them extremely affordable, at only $55.00   Special introductory price only $35.00

What do you get for this?

One of our site reviewers will spend up to one hour reviewing your site, just as they do when we are considering a site for inclusion in the Best Value Guide. During each review, notes are made of various positive or negative features that affect our site rating. Some of these points are fairly specific, for example dealing with how easy it is to locate your phone number. Other points may be very subjective -- dealing with aesthetic design issues or the like -- but our reviewers are trained to act and respond like typical consumers.

Whereas when we review a site for inclusion in the guide we don't create a report, in this case the notes will be converted to a brief (usually 1-2 pages), easy to read and understand report. Where appropriate, we will make some practical suggestions. Also, although this service does NOT deal with site optimization, we may (at our discretion) include some basic optimization comments if we notice glaring errors or omissions.

Why such a short report? Because frankly, we know that you don't have the time or interest to wade through pages of generic web information. There are plenty of books if that's what you want. We want to deliver a brief, understandable report that consists of some site-specific tips that will improve your web site. No fluff, no jargon, just some real, down-to-earth practical and constructive criticism. And don't worry about us inventing problems to fill up a report -- if your site is great we'll tell you so! Isn't it worth the few dollars to have a professional tell you you're on the right track?

The resulting report will be delivered by email within 4 business days of your prepayment. (Depending on our work loads, you could get the report within 24 hours, but we can't guarantee this.)

What do you NOT get for this?

You do not get a Search Engine Optimization report, or anything even approaching that. There are ample such services, costing anywhere from a couple of hundred to thousands of dollars for this purpose. Don't expect to get this for $55 [Special $35]

If you're looking to improve your web site, this may be a golden opportunity to correct some very basic consumer-oriented mistakes at a very inexpensive cost. If as a result of our report you make a few changes which earn you the respect of a few more customers, it will be worth way more than we are charging.
